Inbound Now’s email component allows you to provide the reader with a online version of an email. This online version can be used in social media campaigns to expand the reach of your content.

We discovered after blasting a few emails socially that we wanted a way to encourage new readers to subscribe and to accomplish this goal we created a smartbar feature in the spirit of AppSumo’s smartbar. If you look at th graphic at the very top top of this article you will see where we’re showing an example of at how we are leveraging smartbar with Inbound Now.

With smartbar setup you can:

* Paste shortcodes and other forms of custom content into your smartbar content area.
* You can choose to enable to disable the smartbar on each email individually. It’s disabled by default.
* You can also add custom CSS and custom JS as well as control the background color of the bar.

I have our smart bar background color set as transparent and I am using custom CSS to style the form. The bar also retracts as the reader scrolls down and returns as the reader scrolls up.

Smartbar for email is only available to Inbound Now subscribers.
