Giving the users the options to mute emails, instead of unsubscribe

You may have noticed that the unsubscribe features of Inbound Now’s email component have been enhanced with a few new options. Readers are now offered 4 new additional options in addition to an unsubscribe option. Take a look:

Mute Emails


New Options:

  • Mute 1 month
  • Mute 3 months
  • Mute 6 months
  • Mute 12 months

Muting allows readers to postpone receiving emails related to a selected list for an amount of time. This break may be exactly what the reader needed in their life at the time.

Philosophy behind the improvements:

The philosophy goes like this… Sometimes readers are covered in initiatives that do not involve Inbound Now and will want to clear their inbox of clutter. Adding mute options gives the reader to postpone their subscription and “check back in” at a later date. Over all this will help retain readerships and your readers will appreciate the option to ‘tone it down’ rather than ‘opt out completely’.
